Cardboard Testimony

This morning I woke to read one of my favorite photographer's blog by Scarlett Lillian. Recently her father was diagnosed with lung cancer and as an encouragement her friend sent her a video (the video posted below). It got me thinking of what my cardboard testimony would say "Satan almost had the victory of my depression, suicide, abuse, and eating disorder." and on the back "But with the grace of the Lord, the Lord got the VICTORY and I'm SET FREE!"
I'm set free by the blood of the lamb! I'm sitting in the coffee shop watching the video for the fourth time and trying very hard to hold the tears back.

If you guys could keep Scarlett and her family in your prayers.
Scarlett, you and your family are in my prayers!

Be sure to check out the video.

Blessing's

(ok, well I can't figure out how to post the video on here so, here is the link)

Glamour Girl

My friend Rhonda just celebrated her 6th year anniversary with her husband. A few weeks ago she came to me asking for me to take some glamour photos of her for her husband.
I had a great time working with Rhonda she was so much fun and really easy to work with.

So, with that said here are a few of my favorites

Happy Anniversary Rhonda and Jason! I pray for many more years of love and that you find something new in each other that makes you fall in love all over again. I pray for many years of blessing's and happiness!

In love

Each day I fall more and more in love with Jason and the Lord shows me something new in him that makes me love him just as much.
He really is the man of my dreams...Growing up I used to pray for a future husband that Loves God with his whole heart, a husband that loves to help people and make them laugh, a man that is taller then my 5'11'' self (he sure beats that he's 6'5''!!!!!!) with dark hair and a big smile, and so many more things!
When I met Jason almost 4 years ago we became good friends hanging out almost every day. Friends would ask, "Are you and Jason dating!?!" I would say "No, he's too nerdy for me, where just really good friends." But then in my mind I would think he is kind of cute, I really like his personality and his heart for the Lord.
Then something caused me to not trust Jason and I began to hate him, I couldn't be around him or even hear his voice. But one day I was spending time with the Lord and he really spoke to me and started to show me things, things that I used to pray for in my future husband and I knew in my heart that I needed to forgive Jason. We began to hang out again, and I started to see those things that I prayed for. And each time it would spark a flame in my heart for him and it kept growing.

Now, Jason and I have been together for a year and a half. We have gone through so many trials and have actually taken a few breaks to focus on the Lord. In those times I have grown SO much and I have realized allot about myself, and have learned to really trust in the Lord and be patient. Jason has encouraged me allot in the past year and a half. He has encouraged me to go after my dreams of owning my own photography business and spread the Joy of the Lord by capturing the Heart of my clients. He blessed me with my first camera because he has faith that I will bless other's with my photography.

So, I thought I would post some fun photos of us from last year at Halloween.
He was the grinch and I was his doll (it was all last minute, I made his costume out of a sheet and a green wig.)
Oh no he's going to get me!Yup, he got me.

Baby blanket

Just a day after my birthday and two days after Jason's birthday was a new addition to the Hughes family. A beautiful baby girl!!!

I started working on crocheting her a baby blanket long before her arrival, and well that was March 7th and I am JUST now finished with the blanket. It should have not taken me this long to complete it but I also working making her a beautiful pink baby hat (which she already has and wears) and little footies (which ended up not fitting). So, now is the time for the baby blanket. Which she probably wont be able to use until this coming winter. But I made it big enough so that she can use it for years to come.

I have also decided to sell the things that I make from my crochet on the side of my photography. So, I will post more photos of more designs that I come up with.

Here are some of the photos of the baby blanket:

Seminar

So, there is a photography seminar coming up this month in Indianapolis, IN. I am SUPER excited for this seminar because it is my first one! My friend's Rhonda and Peter will be attending this seminar with me. I know the Lord will bless us more in our journey with our photography.

Not much has been going on since the last update, just getting ready for wedding season!
